Splash Saver

Water Quantity Audit (1 hour) creates an opportunity to:

  • become aware of how much water is used and wasted during our daily water-use activities;
  • formulating a water-wise management plan; and
  • develop life skills: measuring, recording, calculations, interpreting results.

Soil Erosion

This activity (1,5 hours)  provides the opportunity to:

  • identify soil erosion – recognising the characteristics.
  • become aware of how humankind’s actions causes soil erosion.
  • find practical and workable solutions.

Indaba

Community/Town Council Meeting (Role playing) (1.5 hours) develops:

  • an appreciation and an insight into the perceptions and feelings of all stakeholders in any given situation.
  • thinking; effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • debating skills and the ability to successfully conduct a meeting.

Recycle It!

This activity creates an awareness of the

  • importance to recycle and wise waste management principles.
  • materials that could be recycled.

Council of all Beings

Through role play creates (1,5 hours):

  • an appreciation of the important ecological role of all living organisms;
  • an awareness of mankind’s impact on all living organisms;
  • an opportunity to explore possible solutions for environmental problems; and
  • a challenge to all participants to make a difference.

  • skills to identify and solve problems.
  • life skills: catching organisms, measuring, recording, observations, interpretation, drawing meaningful conclusions.

Eco-Warrior Activity

This activity (2 hours) provides and opportunity to:

  • illustrate mankind’s dependence on the biotic and a-biotic world.
  • illustrate mankind’s impact on the natural environment.
  • environmental issues and problems locally and globally;
  • find workable and practical solutions.
  • develop life skills: observation, interpretation, communication, problem-solving decision-making, evaluating value systems.
  • challenge participants to make a difference.

Enviro-Picture Remedies Activity

This fun activity (3 hours):

  • creates an awareness of environmental problems/issues.
  • informs the participants about the local and global environmental problems and the affect thereof on the planet.
  • develops problem solving and decision making skills.
  • challenges the participants to make a difference in their various environments.

Toiletry Bag Investigation

This activity (0,5 hour):

  • how eco-friendly the ingredients and packaging of our personal toiletries are.
  • the importance of selecting products carefully.

Eco-Theatre

The theatre facilitates (1,5 hours):

  • an appreciation of the important ecological role of all living organisms.
  • an awareness of mankind’s impact on all living organisms;
  • the development of creativity.
  • the sharpening of teamwork.
  • self-awareness and self-growth.
