Venues
We have built a relationship with, and use 3 different venues to host our camps; namely Kwaggasrus Game Farm, Magalies Retreat and Goodlands Estate.
KWAGGASRUS
34 Km outside Brits on the Thabazimbi road, in the North-West Province.
Kwaggasrus is situated in a beautiful bushveld setting. Some of the animals that can be seen there are kudu’s, zebra’s, bluewildebeest, impala, blesbuck, steenbuck, duiker, eland, giraffe, black-backed jackal and scrub hares. They also have crocodiles in an enclosure. The bird life and insect life is prolific. They also have ostriches. Please see attached directions.
Special activities that Kwaggasrus offers:
- Beautiful swimming pools.
- Large earthen dam. There the children can: Go on a foefie slide; Go on tubes;
Swim in the dam;
Canoe, and do mudfights at the dam. - Good opportunities to inter-act with nature.
- Excellent and different obstacle course opportunities. Providing very good opportunities for teambuilding and the sharpening of the participants’ creativity and problem solving skills.
MAGALIES RETREAT
Magalies Retreat is situated 18 km outside Magaliesburg in the North-West Province in beautiful Highveld and Bushveld Area. Ubungani uses Gideon’s Place which is nestled in a secluded little valley with hills with proteas.
Animals which are often seen are giraffe, zebra, kudu, bluewildebeest, impala, eland and blesbuck. At night, the sounds of Black-backed Jackal and Nightjars can be heard. The birdlife is prolific, and Vultures can be seen soaring in the sky.
The accommodation for the children exists out of 2 dormitories each sleeping 60 children with en suite bathroom facilities. The dormitories are very spacious. The Educators/Adult will be in small flatlets with en suite bathroom facilities and Educators have the option of sharing or not.
Special activities at Magalies Retreat:
- Lovely hiking area
- A large swimming pool with a water slide. Life Jackets are provided, and nobody may go down without one.
- Gladiator Course. (The old MTN Gladiator Course) Children love it.
GOODLAND ESTATE
Goodland Farm is a nature conservancy, of 270 Hectares of bushveld with hills, valley and a clear perennial stream starting in our own wetlands and fountains. A variety of Game and birds species can be viewed.
It is situated 17 km outside Cullinan, Gauteng.
34 km from the Sefako Makgatho Drive offramp (previously known as: Zambezi offramp) on the N1.
Facilities:
- Clean and comfortable dormitories, rooms, and ablutions
- Well maintained lawns ideal for group games and team building activities
- Boma for campfires
- Two swimming pools
- Earthen dam for water activities (summer)
- Beautiful bush for various Nature Activities
- Birdlife and insect life are excellent

Black-backed Jackal, Blesbusk, Bluewildebeest, Duiker Steenbuck, Zebra, Klipspringer, Dassies, Porcupine, Reedbuck, Impala, Vervet Monkeys, Baboons
